RUFFORD ABBEY COUNTRY PARK CELEBRATES INCREDIBLE 12 MONTHS WITH AWARD WINS AND RECORD VISITOR NUMBERS

The Nottinghamshire venue has also earned a 4.5/5 rating on TripAdvisor and Google, following positive visitor feedback

Monday 26 June, 2023 – Rufford Abbey Country Park, managed by Parkwood Leisure, is celebrating a bumper 12 months with a series of award wins and nominations, and record numbers to the popular visitor attraction.  

Last month, the venue won the Customer Focus Initiative Award at the Mansfield & Ashfield Business Awards, an annual celebration of the best in business within the Mansfield & Ashfield areas.

The site was also awarded a Quality Food and Drink accolade by Visit England, the country’s national tourism agency, dedicated to inspiring more people to visit and explore Britain. Rufford Abbey Country Park has several restaurants and cafes on site, including the longstanding Lord Savile’s Kitchen, serving brunch every Saturday and a traditional carvery every Sunday.

Rufford Mill, the picturesque wedding and events venue in the heart of Rufford Abbey Country Park, has also received critical acclaim. The venue was a finalist in the Guides for Brides Customer Service Awards, a popular wedding platform that offers couples recommendations for the best wedding suppliers and venues across the UK and overseas.

Rufford Mill was also selected as a winner in the second annual Hitched Wedding Awards in the Wedding Venues Category. Amongst 18,000 competitors, the venue was named as one of the most recommended by newlyweds on Hitched.co.uk, a leading wedding planning platform and part of The Knot Worldwide Group.

The award successes have also been reflected in the Country Park’s guest numbers too, with over 400,000 visitors in 2022, and feedback that’s seen the venue earn a 4.5/5 rating on TripAdvisor and Google, with visitors praising the beautiful scenery, family activities and catering facilities.
