Parkwood News Summer '16 Available

The latest edition of Parkwood News is now available.

As always, this issue is packed with the very latest news and developments that have affected the Parkwood Holdings group of companies.

This edition covers several exciting developments within the group, including the restructuring of Parkwood Consultancy Services and the launch of a new dedicated facility management (FM) company, Building Property Services.

We are also delighted to announce our committment to Apprenticeships by joining the 5% club. This national organisation encourages employers to actively recruit more apprentices, graduates and trainees in order to  ensure that employment and development opportunities are being created within our communities, and to support our next generation of employees.

Right across the group our shared values and foundations continue to allow us to work in partnership with our clients to provide innovative, bespoke solutions to a wide range of requirements. Whether it’s our work supporting the unemployed in the Staffordshire Moorlands with our ‘Fit Seekers’ campaign, the launch of a community garden project in Bedworth to help people with mental health conditions through horticultural therapy or news of our ‘booming’ badminton programme for over 60’s in Dereham, you will find evidence of this customer-led approach throughout this edition.

Finally, you may be interested to read more about the new ‘Beat’ campaign that has been launched in Bexley, which proactively targets those at risk of developing type 2 diabetes. This innovative project, which has been funded by Sport England, is the product of a partnership between Parkwood Leisure, Bexley Health, Charlton Athletic Community Trust, Diabetes UK and Parkwood Healthcare and is exactly the sort of community-led, partnership driven project that we pride ourselves on delivering under the Steps to Health brand.
